Email continues to be a very popular communication method for patients. Within WELL, you can convert your message from a text to an email by clicking the arrow icon next to the "Send Text" button. Select the patient's email you'd like to message and you can either hit enter or click the "Send Email" button. You'll be able to tell a message was sent as an email because an envelope icon will be above the message.

How Patients Respond:
Patients can easily respond to the unsecure emails as they normally would any email, and the response will be stored in their patient channel.
To respond to secure emails, patients will have to log into WELL by verifying their date of birth and/or last 4 digits of their SSN.
As a WELL User, you can easily respond to a patient in the communication method of the last inbound message.
If you send an email to a patient, email will be the default method of communication for the next 24 hours. In the event the patient responds via text the default will reset to text.
When a patient sends an inbound message, for the next 3 days, the send button will default to the communication method (email or text) last used by the patient.
