In order for a patient to view a Secure Message, they must go through a verification process. When a patient receives a secure message, they will need to verify their identity with either their Date of Birth or the last four digits of their Social Security Number (or both).
You can edit the required verification information from your Default Settings.

NOTE: Patients may be tentative to enter their information, especially if they do not recognize the phone number. It is important to establish communication with the patient in advance of sending your first secure message. Read more about Messaging here.
