You now have the capability to pin messages to the top of your inbox AND see who else has those same messages pinned. In order to provide even more clarity about when you're taking action on a message, you can pin it. You might use this feature to indicate to others that you've "got it" and are taking care of the message or response, or you just might want to keep certain messages easily accessible while you wait for patient responses to close the loop.
- To Pin or Unpin: Simply click the star icon to the left of the patient's name.If the message is pinned by you, the star will appear as yellow. If it is unpinned, it will appear as the same blue as the bar at the top of the WELL window.
- To View Who Else Has A Patient Pinned: The initials of other Pinners simply appear in the Patient Facesheet, under the header "Pinned By." In some multi-disciplinary teams, multiple staff members may be in communication with the same patient.
- You can see your pinned patients in Most Recent and Scheduled view (as indicated by the yellow star), or easily access them from your Pinned view.
- You can also conveniently send Broadcast Messages from your Pinned View. This is especially convenient if you have the same message to send and it doesn't make sense to use Most Recent or Scheduled view to send it.
